He married in 1 Apr 1720 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, North America to his first wife Hester Maccarty (1701 - 1743) and on 10 Aug 1744 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, North America married his second wife Catherine Winthrop (1711 - 1781). He had the following children by his first wife Hester Maccarty (1701 - 1743).
