Sally Sterling Quinn was born 1 July 1941 in Savannah, Chatham, Georgia to Cheavlier Lt. Gen. William Wilson Quinn (1907 - 2001) and Sara-Bette William (1918 - 2004). She married 20 October 1971 to Chevalier Benjamin Crowninshield Bradlee (1921 - 2014).

She is a best selling author and author of the following books: she wrote in 1975 We're Going To Make You A Star; in 1991 she wrote the novel Happy Endings; in 1997 she wrote The Party: A Guide To Adventurous Entertaining, in 2017 she wrote Finding Magic: A Spiritual Memoir. In 2015 she founded OnFaith.com a website about religion.
